Weird critter. Was going to call it Hobot, but that seems inappropriate ;) (I may make the other version of that too and post them together actually).
Working on character concepting and style stuff, so going to post a bunch of these, hopefully getting better as I go.

Hmm… really not sure which one I like. Something feels awkward about the horses (probably should have used reference more directly), the hooded guy is kind of generic/contrived, and the plain field is possibly too empty. Thoughts anyone?

New one. I did a couple of versions, which I will post next… interested to hear feedback on which one people think is most interesting… different (or no) foreground options. General feedback on this one welcome too. I started a couple of others at the same time, so should have several tomorrow or Monday.

The painting I did for Jen for Valentine’s Day. Our love is weird ;)

A new one from yesterday. Temporarily named Depths. I think I will probably end up with a whole sequence of the weird steampunk augmented animals just because I enjoy doing it. I may do a version of the jellyfish concept with a city interior now too, since Jen and I both thought about that option. Fun to draw regardless, and quick.

Updated version with more detail and some color variation. I’d be interested to hear if people like it more or less than the first. I am happy with some aspects of the image, but still feel like it falls short of what I was hoping for overall. I have another idea I am excited start on though, so moving on.

What I did tonight instead of going out ;) - I’d love to hear any feedback/criticism!

A new sci-fi-ish illustration for some personal stuff. Still some things bugging me about it, but I’m just going to post it and work on some other stuff for a while. I think the fact that the ground vehicle, plane, city and people don’t have a unifying element visual-style-wise weirds me out. You would probably see that happen realistically, but it feels weird in a purposeful illustration. I’m OCD ;)

An updated version of the Smog painting. Fully revamped city scene, added better background details and improved the figures. This one is now available for full-size prints (as-is the old one if for some reason you like it more).
